My taste in music ranges from indie and ska, to screamo and punk. Some of my most-listened to bands//singers are A Rocket To The Moon, Cute Is What We Aim For, Tokio Hotel, Joel Plaskett, Escape The Fate, Hedley, and WAAAYY more. I love discovering new bands from my friends, and on my own. In my opinion, what makes a good song is good lyrics (actually written by the artist), good rhythm, real instruments, great, raw, vocals, and a good message behind the lyrics. the pop scene is huge at the moment, obviously, but I honestly can't see what's so appealing about hundreds of artist and songs sounding the same. Also, all the songs that girls and guys are gushing over seem to only be about drugs, sex, booze, girls, money, and loads of other pointless things. Maybe some of it would be better to listen to if the people composing it would write it themselves, and prove to people that they DO have atleast a little bit of talent, and they don't just pay some big-shot at the recording company to do it for them.
